You can pay to be listed for certain search terms, but that gets expensive, especially when you can optimize your website so you show up organically. And see who is sending you the most business so you don't pay for marketing that's not working that will save marketing dollars for other avenues.

As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work and what people search for. Optimizing a website primarily involves editing its content and HTML coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines.
